Porter Matteson is a pianist, trumpeter, and composer whose passion is bridging the gap between the complexity of the classical and theatre traditions with the accessibility of pop. He is based in Seattle, Washington.
Born into a musical family, Porter "fell" into piano naturally. He also began composing prolifically from an early age. Over the years, he has developed a versatile commercial range and has conducted his own works and that of others.
Since graduating from Central Washington University in 2023, he has worked as an orchestra pianist for Regent and Celebrity Cruises and as assistant conductor for the Mrs. Doubtfire 2nd Broadway National Tour.
